Kayak Rental in Lofoten

Self-guided journey

Kayak Rental Conditions with Lofoten Diving

Explore the stunning landscapes of Lofoten from the water with our kayak rentals. Whether you are seeking a peaceful paddle or an adventurous self-guided journey, our kayaks are ready for your exploration. Please review the following conditions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.

Certification Requirements:

To rent a kayak, you must have a valid certification to ensure you have the necessary skills for sea kayaking. Accepted certifications include:

NPF (Våttkort) – Basic Ocean Course (16 hours)

European Paddle Pass (EPP) 2

BCU 2-Star or Coastal Sea Kayak Award

Other equivalent certifications. If you do not hold a certification, we recommend booking a guided tour instead.

Experience:

We require that renters have prior kayaking experience, especially for single kayaks. If you're new to kayaking or

unfamiliar with the conditions of the Lofoten waters, we encourage you to opt for a guided tour to ensure your safety and enjoyment.

Swimming Ability:

You must be comfortable in the water and have basic swimming skills. The waters of Lofoten can be cold and safety is our top priority.

Guided vs. Self-Guided Rentals:

If you’re not certified or experienced enough for a self-guided trip, we offer guided kayak tours where our professional instructors will lead you through the beautiful surroundings. For certified and experienced kayakers, our self-guided rentals offer the freedom to explore at your own pace.

Equipment Return:

Please ensure that all rented equipment is returned on time. Late returns may result in additional charges. Ensure that all gear is in good condition upon return.

Safety Gear:

Wearing a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) is mandatory while on the water. We provide all necessary safety gear, and we require that it be worn at all times during your kayaking adventure.

Weather Awareness:

Lofoten’s weather can be unpredictable, and it is essential to check the forecast before heading out. Be prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions and always prioritize safety when making decisions about your kayaking trip.

Respect for Nature and Regulations:

While exploring Lofoten waters, we ask that you respect local laws and environmental guidelines. Be mindful of protected areas and wildlife, and follow all regulations to help preserve this beautiful naturalenvironment.

Booking and Cancellations:

Advance Booking: Recommended to secure your preferred rental time.

Cancellation Policy: Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 72 hours before the scheduled rental time.
